Bourbon-Pumpkin Cheesecake

Did I mention before that I'm intimidated by baking? Well I am, but every once in a while I read a recipe that just sings to me - or rather in this case it screamed to me: "You must make this!"  And did I mention that cholesterol is my friend? Oh boy did this one fit the bill - 44 ounces of fat all in one cheesecake - 24 ounces of cream cheese (don't you dare use that reduced fat kind) with a "frosting" of bourbon and sugar infused sour cream (again - use the fabulous full fat variety!).

This recipe came from Deb Perelman over at her Smitten Kitchen blog - it was a winner in every sense of the word and so much better than yet another slice of the standard pumpkin pie. Trust me on this one - you won't regret it for a moment.  http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2006/11/candy-corn-for-really-lucky-grown-ups/
