'Twas the night before Trader Joe's...

Yes boys and girls - Trader Joe's has pierced the Zion Curtain of Utah and arrived in Salt Lake City. True, there will be no two-buck-chuck, good liquor deals, nor anything but retail Utah beer (3.2%) - but who cares, we're used to being treated like children in Utah.

Now Salt Lake City is a fer piece from Moab - a tad over 225 miles, but heretofore the closest TJ's were in either Albuquerque (400 miles) or Las Vegas (450 miles) - so this is huge!

The best part is that Hailey lives in Salt Lake City, only a couple of miles from Trader Joe's and she will be coming home for the Christmas holidays in a couple of weeks.Of course she is a college student and usually when they arrive home for break they're toting a semester's worth of dirty laundry - not an issue if they drive a pickup truck but Hailey has a Subaru Forester - sorry sweetpea - you can bring home only that which can fit in one tiny bag as the rest of your car will be filled with groceries from Trader Joe's. I'm pouring over the current issue of the Fearless Flyer and am making out my shopping list.

Hooray for Trader Joe's!
